Tulips; A Reading

I don't think there's going to be too much written content in this post, because there's a video down there. You might even be able to see it from here. I've had some ideas lately about my writing and self promotion, and one of those was to do readings of my own work and put them on Youtube. Random people might see them on Youtube and, at the very least, they're pretty easy to share for people who are interested. I'd very much like to make a viral video but just having some people see it and learn about my stories would be good enough.

Most of you guys either have, or have read, Tulips, so I won't ask you to sit through the reading. But I will ask you nicely if you can share the video at the very least. I don't really ask for much. So you can do this for me at least, right?

By the way I have other ideas I'll tell you about soon, and I also plan on starting to reply to most (if not all) comments. I used to do it before but I just stopped. It's a pretty professional thing to do and, hey, some comments are worth responding to.

  1. This is a great idea. I'd never even thought about sharing a reading online. Have you considered audio books as well? Also something I've never looked into, but I know a lot of people would rather listen (or only have time for it) than read. And the English accent was just MADE for reading aloud. Admit it.

    1. I'll happily admit that the English accent was made for reading online. I've considered audiobooks but to be honest I have no idea where to submit them. I might do some research into it. Audible have audiobooks, but I don't know if they'd let you submit them. One problem I have is that I have the confidence to read, but I don't know how well I can really do a story. Can I emote properly? Can I do different voices for different characters? Possibly. Thanks for the affirmation it's a great idea. I was due one.

  2. I've always wanted to do Youtube recording stuff but I'm not satisfied with the quality of my headset mic and I insist on buying a better one first.

    1. That was an issue for me too at first, but then I decided to just go for it. This headset is the best I've had and am likely to have for a while.

    1. It's British. It's one of the most charming sounds in the world. Glad you enjoyed it, and hopefully I made the writing a little easier. Or at least a little more enjoyable.
